Worcestershire County Cricket Club

Campaign: Animated Film

Worcestershire County Cricket Club approached us with a clear goal for their 2024 kit launch—they wanted a film that was more than just a showcase. It needed to capture the essence of the Club's rich history while highlighting the excitement of the upcoming season. The brief was to create something that would resonate with fans, players, and sponsors alike, blending tradition with a fresh, modern twist.

We started by delving into the Club’s heritage, understanding the symbols, colours, and stories that have defined Worcestershire over the years. Our aim was to craft a narrative that would honour this legacy while also injecting a new energy that reflected the Club’s forward-looking ambitions.

The film was shot across several significant locations, each chosen for its connection to the Club and its supporters. This allowed us to visually link the new kit with the places that matter most to the Worcestershire community. We used dynamic camera work and contemporary editing techniques to bring the kit to life, showcasing its design details and the pride it represents.

The final film achieved the perfect balance between celebrating Worcestershire’s storied past and looking ahead to the future. It was a fitting tribute to the Club’s identity and was met with widespread acclaim, reinforcing the strong connection between the Club, its fans, and the wider cricketing community.

The club and its supporters responded with enthusiasm, with Worcestershire County Cricket Club praising the film as "a brilliant showcase of creativity and quality, setting a new benchmark for content production at Worcestershire County Cricket Club." In terms of metrics, the film attracted over 5 million views across all channels. This increased visibility translated into record-breaking advance ticket sales for the Vitality Blast, which saw a 17% rise compared to previous records. Additionally, the 2024 shirt pre-orders surged to four times the usual amount, setting new records for the club.
