Hyundai were looking to showcase three new Hybrid models (Kona, IONIQ and Tucson) to their dealerships as a prelaunch.​ With tight timelines Hyundai were conscious it was implausible to expect the entire sales team to mobilise for a full day’s training course.

With this in mind, we were asked to provide engaging solutions for direct training. ​We suggested a one-hour live webinar. ​

The broadcast was hosted from our 212 Studio’s ​in Worcestershire, replicating the style of the Top Gear studios with a central-raised presentation area. Hyundai cars were positioned around the stage as a backdrop.​

We designed and produced the webinar with all the disciplines and production values of a live TV show. We scripted the show, but not word-for-word, ensuring there was an air ​of spontaneity.​ The online audience were able to securely engage, ask questions, vote and take part ​in virtual team building. ​

BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey professionally moderated the discussion. His strong delivery ensured the desired production values.  ​

The live show incorporated music and opening graphics, with Hyundai product videos weaved into ​the training content throughout.​ The studio was set with three cameras, allowing multiple angles and giving the show the feel of a TV production. This contrasted the single static camera shooting style typical of webinars. 

We positioned product managers and hosts alongside the cars, which allowed roaming cameras to pick up relevant interior and exterior shots of the vehicles​. Our virtual broadcast system is a flexible and responsive platform that optimises viewing across mobile and desktop. ​

The audience accessed the broadcast using personalised login details. This provided the client with accurate data on login numbers and statistics. ​The webinar was also made available to view online for one month after the live event.​
