The Summer of Founders Roadshow for telecoms company EE, marked the coming together of all EE colleagues, known as founders. It needed to not only be highly motivational and informative, but it needed to be clever enough to cater to various audiences and durable enough to pack down and travel well over the six weeks it was in use.

Stopping at 43 locations over the UK, and reaching over 16,000 team members, the roadshow formed part of the EE Live Experience. The roadshow brought to life each internal EE business function for the team to discover from Customer Care, Sales, Partners and Retail to Corporate; playing, talking and networking were all imperative so as to enrich the team’s understanding of what’s new in EE, and the exciting innovations on the horizon.

This was also one of DRPG’s first full processes using AI as an inspiration tool for creative direction and three-dimensional form, resulting in beautifully designed modular roadshow stands that bring the summer festival vibe to life. Crafted by the DRPG technical team and built internally, the assets were versatile, easy to install and able to flex over multiple different locations and installations.

Overall, we produced six exhibition stands that showcased areas such as gaming, merch, careers, community, sustainability, cyber and home security. Interactive elements such as basketball hoops (where colleagues could play for prizes) and a post box to share ideas, brought a level of fun to the learning.

Our Film Team also created an animation that was used throughout the roadshow, and we packaged a highlights video to be shared with all team members, helping create a legacy for the project. Check out more about the film here.

Across the 43 locations, we delivered 206 shows which were received with plenty of positivity, with team members feeling the roadshows were inclusive, memorable and different.
