Celebrating the best in global corporate film making, we are proud to have won silver in the ‘Fundraising, Non-profit, CSR’ category of the Cannes Media & TV Awards 2019 for the film ‘Shedding’ on behalf of Alopecia UK.
‘Shedding’ shares the stories of three people from across the UK living with Alopecia Areata; a condition causing loss of hair. Alopecia affects people of all ages, race and gender and can have a detrimental effect on self-esteem and confidence. The condition often presents itself with little or no warning. Currently there is no known cure. The film was designed to help enhance the charity’s reach and generate more public awareness around a widely misunderstood medical condition, especially during September: Alopecia Awareness Month, and to highlight the psychological impact that living with a visible condition can have on individuals.
Our Director and Scriptwriter Dominic Allen actively approached Alopecia UK with the idea for the film, inspired by a close friend who has alopecia. The video was produced voluntarily as part of our commitment to corporate responsibility.
