In 2015 the Business Visits and Events Strategy was unveiled outlining the steps the UK government will take to maintain its position as a leading destination for hosting International Business Events in Europe. This year the International Business Events Action Plan serves to update this great initiative.
One of the key commitments within this was to create an Events Industry Board (EIB) to work with Government on fulfilling the commitments within the strategy. The Events Industry Board is composed of individuals and representative organisations from the Events industry including DRPG CEO Dale Parmenter.
Earlier this month Dale attended the first of the EIB’s biannual Events Industry Senior Leaders Advisory Panel meetings where he, along with other industry leaders, discussed the challenges and opportunities for the industry with representatives from the government and the EIB.
