Having reached a record 16th position in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list back in February, where companies across the UK are ranked according to a series of factors measuring engagement, we are delighted to announce that we have been placed 13th in the Best Companies to Work For in the Midlands.
Businesses from a diverse range of sectors and located across the region have been named in the Best Companies to Work For in the Midlands. The 75-strong list, compiled by Best Companies, recognises the organisations that are leading the field in creating engaging and exciting workplaces for their team members. The research suggests chief executives and senior teams understand that engaging with their workforce is the most effective way to attract and keep the best staff in challenging markets.
The Regional Best Companies Index is the most academically rigorous way of measuring engagement. Using the Best Companies b-Heard Survey, employees are asked to score 70 questions on a 7 point7-point scale from ‘Strongly Disagree’ to ‘Strongly Agree.’ The results are then calculated from the responses to 49 scoring questions aligned to the 8 Factors of Workplace Engagement. The final score is normalised for company size and calculated out of 1000.
Dale Parmenter, “Now so more than ever, measurements like this mean a huge amount. Our people are our number one priority and this sort of accolade shows why we don’t find it a challenge to come together in times of crisis. Building the foundation of a happy, engaged and motivated workforce can really help you navigate any rough waters together as a team and come out even stronger on the other side.”
