Global biopharma company UCB is all about neurology and immunology, with an ambition to transform the lives of people living with severe diseases in this area. Over the last decade, it has hosted a brilliant face-to-face summit for professionals across the globe, yet the pandemic threw a spanner in the works.
Adamant that the show must go on, we asked ourselves, ‘how are we going to get people across the globe to attend a summit bigger and better than ever before, without having to leave their homes?’ Luckily, we’ve mastered the power of virtual events, creating a stunning bespoke website and show-stopping virtual environment that retained the awe surrounding the traditional face-to-face event.
But how did we do that, you ask? Well, our solution housed all those fabulous immersive elements that delegates came to expect from the summit, including insightful plenary and keynote sessions, a remarkable medical learning exhibition area, and even networking and breakout rooms to take advantage of.
It can be easy for delegates to switch off during virtual events, but we dashed that by using a good mix of dynamic content and media across the two live days, while also supporting the event with a captivating communications strategy pre, during and post event.

It was certainly successful in making some noise in the industry, as there was a 325% increase in registrations from the previous year, plus a social media reach of 250,000! and we’re glad to have helped deliver an unstoppable summit that will undoubtedly transform lives for the better.
