As part of Jaguar Land Rover’s launch of the highly anticipated electric Jaguar I-PACE, drpdigital developed an innovative augmented reality app that created an immersive driver experience, enabling users to digitally drive the I-PACE around their current environment.
Additionally, providing an educational element for Jaguar Land Rover employees, the augmented reality solution featured several interactive elements which would allow the employees to explore the key features and benefits of the vehicle.
The iconic ‘Jaguar Growler’ symbol acted as the main augmented reality trigger point. To gain maximum awareness and app downloads, the trigger point was distributed via intelligently branded ‘Top Trumps’ inspired cards. It also featured on the back page of Jaguar Land Rover’s internal magazine and was incorporated into a carefully designed display that toured the Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing sites as part of the internal launch.
Proven to be an overwhelming success, the app has been downloaded over 6,000 times across iOS and Android, also taking home ‘Best Internal Communications’ in the annual Tata Group awards.
