drpvideo has won gold in one ofthe EVCOM Screen Awards 2016 top categories and secured a further three awards for their film 'Pull Through' on what was a hugely rewarding night for the drpteam. Held at Lindley Hall in London on the 28th April, the EVCOM Screen Awards recognise excellence in visual corporate communication with over 500 of the top industry professionals from the world of corporate film and digital communications in attendance. We were recognised in four separate categories, drpvideo took home gold in the Marketing & PR category and bronze in Charity & Not for Profit. The team also won highly commended awards in the Health & Safety and Communication Effectiveness categories.
drpvideo collaborated with West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) to produce poignant film Pull Through. Shot at Stourport Boat Club withclub members as extras, the short documentary re-created the moment that drpconstruction technician, Ian Hough suffered a cardiac arrest during the annual regatta, showing how the presence of defibrillator on site saved his life. The film and its message formed the core of a wider PR and Marketing campaign by WMAS to encourage sports clubs around the country to introduce defibrillators as part of their first aid equipment.
Pull Through was of course extremely close to our hearts and we felt proud to be able to help WMAS’ invaluable campaign.
Pull Through instantly made an impact, attracting coverage on several national press and media outlets including Sky News and BBC Midlands Today on campaign day and beyond.
Director of drpvideo Dagmar Mackett commented: “Pull Through was of course extremely close to our hearts and we felt proud to be able to help WMAS’ invaluable campaign. We knew the film was very good but didn’t quite expect the huge impact it had. To be recognised at the EVCOM Screen Awards like this, in those four very prestigious categories is absolutely amazing, and well deserved for the team.“
