IOIC Live 2014
The drpgroup provided our event production expertise to the Institute of Internal Communications at their annual conference, this year called IoIC Live 2014. The event, held at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on 1st & 2nd May, saw around 100 internal communications professionals from the private and public sector come together to share experience and knowledge while keeping up to date with all the latest trends and best practices in the internal communications world.
The drpteam provided staging and presentation support to the event ensuring a slick and professional show for the IoIC delegates. The team also ensured that the IC pros onsite were constantly connected to the social conversation surrounding the event with live tweet walls present throughout the plenary sessions, aggregating the hashtag #IoICLive14
Delegates in attendance enjoyed presentations from BT, the Department of Business, Innovation & Skills as well as insight into how neuroscience should influence internal comms decisions. Delegates also debated introverts and extroverts in the IC landscape and whether these types of labels help or hinder good practice.
Ryan Curtis, PR Manager attended the event and oversaw the drpgroup’s support of the institute. He summarised the group’s involvement and his thoughts on the event, “We’ve supported the IoIC for a number of years now and can never overstate the importance that good internal comms holds for successful businesses. It’s events like these and the work that the IoIC does that helps reinforce the position of internal comms within the business landscape. Our team did an exceptional job in pulling together the production and presentation elements of the event and we’re thrilled we were able to enhance the experience of so many IC delegates from both the private and public sectors”.
