drp Success at FMBE and IoIC National Awards 2017 with Nationwide Building Society

The drpteam took home gold at the Field Marketing and Brand Experience (FMBE) Awards on Thursday 19th October, held at ‘Troxy’ in East London. We were recognised in the Most Immersive Brand Event (B2B/B2E) category for our work with Nationwide Building Society’s ‘Our Big Event', an interactive and immersive 5-day conference to communicate Nationwide’s future strategy. In its 13th year, the FMBE awards recognise and celebrate the very best field, retail and experiential marketing. This is the second year running where we have been successful in the FMBE awards, having taken home gold and bronze last year.

Top industry professionals from the world of brand, marketing, media, and communication were in attendance at the ceremony. Hosted by Red Dwarf actor Craig Charles, the ‘futuristic’ themed evening consisted of a networking drinks reception, interactive games, activities and a fantastic three-course meal. Craig Charles is no stranger to drp as our 212 HQ complex is currently playing host to Channel 5's The Gadget Show.

The event was also recognised at the IoIC (Institute of Internal Communications) National Awards 2017, in the 'Best Live Internal Event' category. The evening brought together over 350 internal communication professionals from leading global brands and agencies, to celebrate the best of internal comms and the vital part it plays in business success.

We feel very privileged to have played a significant part in such a pivotal company-wide employee engagement for the entire Building Society.

Matt Franks, drp's Director of Events, commented: “We have had a strong relationship with Nationwide Building Society over the last 10 years. To involve every area within drp and collaborate with the Nationwide team to deliver such a unique and successful event - that surpassed every single objective - is something we are extremely proud of. And to be recognised for this at the FMBE awards is a real testament to every person involved.”

Richard Hingley, Group Creative Director at drp, who led the creative for Nationwide’s event, commented at the IoIC awards, “This event development was particularly intense, however it resulted in an exceptionally rewarding project, and it is fantastic to have been regarded nationally by the IoIC. We feel very privileged to have played a significant part in such a pivotal company-wide employee engagement for the entire Building Society.”
