Between November 2017 and February 2018, we worked alongside Triumph Motorcycles – one of Britain’s largest and well-known motorcycle manufacturers – to support their global press tour, launching five brand new motorcycles. The bikes launched were the Speed Triple, Tiger 800, Tiger 1200, Bonneville Speedmaster and the Bonneville Bobber Black. We embarked on four locations; Almeria, Marbella, San Diego (Carlsbad), and Marrakesh, with approximately 80-120 press in attendance per launch.
The tour’s main purpose was for the press to experience and review each motorcycle. It was vital that each location represented and showcased the individual features. Each location was carefully selected to match the bike and provide the press with the best experience possible.
We heavily supported Triumph by providing the location scouting, global and ground logistics, accommodation, route management, food & beverages, AV support and the creative concepts for each launch.
The press launch was truly phenomenal. We are so proud that our collaborative vision came to life – down to every last detail.
In addition to the global tour, we helped Triumph launch their visitor centre at their HQ in Hinckley, Leicester. The launch, which took place prior to the tour, was full of interactivity and immersed the audience into the Triumph brand and heritage. The event also featured the original bike from the classic 1963 film, The Great Escape.
Gareth Bright, Marketing Events Manager at Triumph commented, “The press launch was truly phenomenal. We are so proud that our collaborative vision came to life – down to every last detail. We have received nothing, but positive reviews and we anticipate further collaborations with drp.
Nick Ruffles, Triumph Account Director at drp also commented, “I am ecstatic with the success of the press tour launch. We wanted to create an out of the ordinary experience of which we have gladly achieved. The team worked very hard to make this event for Triumph come to light and we look forward to working on future events.”
