drp Celebrates a Successful 2016
drp has celebrated another record year with an increase in turnover, forecasted to be £16.8M, and an expected increase in profit to £1.4M. At the annual Christmas conference and awards held in our Worcestershire drpstudios, the 180 drpteam members experienced a celebratory look back at 2016. The three drpstudios were aptly Christmas themed, with black and gold for the main conference and awards, and the conjoining studio a walk into a Winter Wonderland with towering Christmas trees, live music, snowboarding simulator and “snow”. The after-party was hosted in Studio 2, inviting the whole team to sing with live karaoke band, ‘Rockaoke’.
Our board members and directors took to the stage to reflect on the year’s achievements and look ahead to 2017. Our CEO, Dale Parmenter, presented a review of 2016 to highlight the investments in the business, from infrastructure to people. 2016 saw drp invest £400K on an expansion at their head office, doubling the complex in size with £650K spent on new facilities and technology. We as a business have heavily invested in people during the course of the year too, with £200K on training for the drpteam and 25 new team members. Dale also outlined the future plans for growth during 2017.
“2016 has been a revolutionary and exciting year at drp. We swept up 32 awards, gained 16 new clients such as EE, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Herbert Smith Freehills, alongside launching our ever-growing thought leadership events, ‘drptalk’. It’s great all the team were able to share in a sizable profit related bonus in recognition of their hard work. I'm certainly excited for what’s in store for 2017,” says Dale.
During the afternoon, drp recognised our top performers with our annual Brilliance Awards, which reward and recognise exceptional performance from the past year. The nominations were chosen and voted for by the drpteam and the winners for the “Anything’s Possible Team of the Year” was secured by the ISO 2016 Team, who helped us to achieve the ISO27001:2015 for the business, and Senior Account Manager Matthew Hayward won the “Anything’s Possible Team Member of the Year” and a trip to Hong Kong.
