On 28th June 2024 The ‘Three Counties B Corp’ group brought together over 50 local businesses from Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire for a transformative summit to explore the benefits and process of the B Corp certification.
The event was designed for business leaders who are interested in or already in the process of working towards their B Corp certification. Attendees participated in workshop sessions that focused on the key B Corp pillars: Governance, Workers, Environment, Community, and Customers. These sessions provided practical strategies and insights to help businesses enhance their B Corp journey.
The ‘Three Counties B Corp’ group is a peer network for professionals in charge of B Corp and sustainability from within B Corp certified businesses in the three geographies.
Originally set up Emma May Fishlock, Real World Consultancy and Laura Hewett, Hewett Recruitment, for forward-thinking companies to delve into responsible business practices ensuring the certification isn’t the endpoint and they keep improving the impact they have through collaboration.
Laura Hewett, Owner and Director of Hewett Recruitment explained, "This event has shown the incredible potential of B Corp certification to drive sustainable success. We’re excited to see more local companies join this global movement and make a positive impact but also understand the certification is just the beginning; our goal is to keep progressing through collaboration and shared learning."
